Every project is built around one strong gesture, a color that envelops, a wallcovering that transports, a material that tells the truth, held by the restraint that lets it land. We call it controlled drama. It is why no two of our projects look alike, and why all of them feel considered.
From pre-construction consulting to the final layer of accessories, we manage the whole arc: space planning, custom millwork, furnishings, lighting, and styling, resolved together and protected through every decision. You live your life. We build the rooms it deserves.

Mimi founded the studio on a conviction she has never had reason to revise: great rooms are not decorated, they are decided. Every project is built around one strong gesture, held by the restraint that lets it land. She calls it controlled drama, and it is a method rather than a look, which is why no two of her projects resemble each other and all of them feel considered.
Her work has earned Northern Virginia Magazine's Best Home Expert award for interior design in 2025 and an appearance in the magazine's Women Making a Mark feature. When she is not in a client's home, she is on camera, breaking down the design decisions most designers keep to themselves.
